My Mission
“I firmly believe that a child’s first dance class is the most important in their dance journey. This will determine how they feel about dance and if they will continue. My goal is for a child to discover their passion for dance by taking their first Kinderdance® class.”
About the ownerHeather Hardesty has been bringing joy to the Austin area through Kinderdance® since 2003. Dancing has always been a passion of Ms. Heather! She started dancing at the young age of 3 and hasn’t stopped yet. Ms. Heather began teaching at the age of 16 and continues teaching ages 2 – adult today through Kinderdance® and at local studios. Her training includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary. Her choreography for local dance studios has won numerous awards over the years.
Some of the notable teachers Ms. Heather has trained with include: Jessica Epting, Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Brooke Lipton, Annie Day, Marcus Alford, Jeannie Strain, Joe Tremaine, Laurie Johnson, Daryl Retter, Becca Retter, Tommie Retter, Roland Dupree, and many more. Ms. Heather holds a degree in Public Relations and Dance from Texas Tech University. She continues to attend teacher training and workshops every year to stay on top of the current teaching techniques and trends. She is also an instructor at Cedar Park Dance Company (since 2002). When she is not dancing with her Kinderdancers, Ms. Heather volunteers at the Baca Senior Center in Round Rock, sings Soprano with the Round Rock Community Choir or spends time with her husband of 23 years, Dennis, and her 16 year old daughter Hallie. Ms. Heather was most recently awarded Franchisee of the Year 2022 through Kinderdance international. |
